Earth’s energy field has two basic features which Earth Energy dowsers recognise –
 
Energy Leys flow along the surface of the land and may be as small as a foot wide. They carry subtle energy which interacts with the energy field, or aura of people. They travel in straight lines.
Underground streams radiate energy from water or minerals which are below ground level, to the surface, and also affect people. Underground streams do not usually move in straight lines, but meander.  

Both kinds of Earth Energy lines carry subtle energy which can be located and measured with dowsing rods. Their effects on people can be assessed by kinesiology muscle testing.

This map of Britain shows the largest Earth Energies present in the British Isles; there is a very wide silver band in the west which contains high spiritual energy. There is also a brown band in the south west, which runs north east. Brown is related to abundant fertility in Nature and creative work with natural materials. The brown band contains many major ancient sacred sites created by societies deeply aware of earth energies. People absorb these subtle energies. Their health depends on the quality of the energy. This is also true for farm animals, crops, woodlands, wildlife, and communities. This map is an overview of a country. More diverse patterns would be present on a local level.

The Earth energy lines may be seen as many moving dots of coloured light held in beams. The lines feed people with life energy through the chakras. Plants and animals are also sustained by them, and even soil would feel dead without them. They are linked to the surface of the Earth and move across it horizontally. I identify fifteen colours of subtle energy in the Earth’s energy system.They encourage certain qualities to manifest, for instance -green for love and an open heart, light blue for communication, dark blue for creative imagination, gold for connection with the Divine, grey for systems in the process of becoming disordered.
